Manika Vishwakarma: Miss Universe India 2025
The spotlight of Indian pageantry now shines on Manika Vishwakarma, a 22-year-old from Rajasthan, who has been crowned Miss Universe India 2025 at a grand ceremony in Jaipur hosted by the Glamanand Group.
The prestigious crown was passed on by outgoing queen Rhea Singha, with Manika emerging victorious among 48 contestants from across the country. Tanya Sharma of Uttar Pradesh finished first runner-up in the competition, followed by Mehak Dhingra of Haryana in second place and Amishi Kaushik in third.
Manika Vishwakarma: A Scholar with a Purpose
Currently in her final year at the University of Delhi, Manika is pursuing a degree in Political Science and Economics. Beyond academics, she is also a classical dancer and an accomplished visual artist, with recognition from institutions like the Lalit Kala Akademi and Sir J. J. School of Art.
Her intellectual depth and creative spirit were complemented by her advocacy. Through her initiative Neuronova, Manika works to spread awareness about neurodivergence, reframing conditions such as ADHD as unique strengths rather than disabilities.
Winning Moment that Defined Her
During the final Q&A round, Manika was asked to choose between women’s education and immediate financial aid for poor families. Her thoughtful response in favor of education—stressing its power to transform communities and break cycles of poverty—won over the judges and audience alike.
In her acceptance remarks, she credited her family, teachers, and mentors for their unwavering support, underlining her belief that encouragement fuels achievement more than struggle alone.
Road Ahead: Miss Universe 2025
With this victory, Manika Vishwakarma will represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled for November 2025 in Thailand. Her combination of intellect, artistry, and advocacy is expected to make her a strong contender on the global stage.
A New Chapter in Indian Pageantry
From being crowned Miss Universe Rajasthan in 2024 to clinching the national title in 2025, Manika’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. Her journey represents not only personal triumph but also a broader message of empowerment and inclusivity.
As India eagerly looks ahead to the Miss Universe competition, Manika Vishwakarma stands poised to embody the nation’s values, aspirations, and cultural richness before the world.
